The Design Encyclopedia, Rewards For All Initiative

The amount of information about design is deep, vast and well spread; the time, energy and resources to amass it all requires a healthy dose of dedication, perseverance and interest. The Design Encyclopedia is looking for individuals ready to bring all that information together with some gusto — and we are ready to do so by rewarding the most prolific. The Fill in the Blanks Initiative (FitBI) is an ongoing program, segmented in periods of three months, where anyone who is willing and interested can sign up to contribute to The Design Encyclopedia and vie for a US$300.00 Amazon Gift Certificate.

What we are Looking for
----
Our main purpose is to expand The Design Encyclopedia to its limits so that, together, we can create one of the largest and most diverse repositories of information and writing about design. Participants in the Initiative should strive to:
a) Create new entries.
b) Complement, correct and/or complete existing entries with information, books and/or related links.
c) Find and gather contributions to the Written section.
d) Improve, overall, the content of the site.

How it Works
----
1. All participants must register by using the button on the right column. This will jump to PayPal where you must pay a US$10.00 fee.
This fee is a token of your commitment to the Initiative and will allow us to offer more enticing rewards in the future.

2. We assume the information you submit through PayPal is current and sufficient for us to contact you. Please specify in the PayPal form the username you will use in The Design Encyclopedia.

3. If you are not registered with The Design Encyclopedia yet, please do so after completing Step 2.

4. Familiarize yourself with the Wiki Syntax, how to start a page, and, most importantly the mission, intent and objective style of The Design Encyclopedia.

5. Start filling in the blanks! Feel free to contact us throughout the three months if you have questions.

6. We – the Editors (Bryony and Armin) – will monitor all contributions throughout the three months and, at our sole discretion, we will award the individual that made the most relevant and comprehensive contributions.

Other. We welcome international participants as long as we can work out the payment.
