Mr. Potato Head
Created in 1952.
George Lerner first wanted to sell his idea as a cereal promotion, as a premium incentive in the late 1940s. When this did not work he sought Hasbro. This was the first toy to be sold through national TV. Mrs. Potato Head was introduced a year later.
